Ngā mihi o te Tau Hou – Happy New Year 2026
We wish all our whānau a happy and prosperous New Year as we look ahead to 2026. We hope everyone enjoyed a refreshing and restful holiday break, whether spent reconnecting with whānau, enjoying time together at home, or travelling near and far. May the new year bring renewed energy, wellbeing, and opportunities for us all.
At this time, we acknowledge our four kapa haka rōpū who are gearing up and practising hard for the upcoming Mataatua Regionals, proudly hosted by Te Whānau-A-Apanui ki Whakatāne.

The competition will be held on February 27 – 28 2026, at Rugby Park, Whakatāne and we wish all our performers, tutors, and supporters every success as they prepare to take the stage and represent our people with pride.
Piki te ora ki ngā pakeke e noho māuiui ana i tēnei wā – we send our aroha and healing thoughts to our kaumātua and elders who are unwell at this time.
